At Mala-Be, we believe in the power of flavors to tell a story. Our journey began with Jonathan, the visionary founder of Mala-Be, whose passion for the culinary arts was sparked in the Middle East, where he grew up surrounded by rich traditions and vibrant flavors.
Among these, one treat stood out—Malabe, a velvety, Middle Eastern-inspired creamy delight, infused with the delicate essence of rose water and other exquisite ingredients.
For years, Jonathan dreamed of sharing the magic of Malabe with the world, particularly in the United States. His vision was clear: to introduce the unique combination of Middle Eastern flavors, highlighting the delicate balance of tradition and innovation, to a new audience.
After exploring several locations across the country, Jonathan’s journey led him to a place he would soon call home—Hawaii.
The islands' rich cultural diversity, combined with their appreciation for fresh, local ingredients, presented the perfect setting for Mala-Be. Here,
Jonathan embraced the opportunity to blend the exotic flavors of the Middle East with the vibrant tastes of Hawaii, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion that perfectly embodies the spirit of both regions.
Thus, Mala-Be was born—a brand that celebrates tradition while embracing the future, offering a truly unique culinary experience.
Since its founding in October 2023, Mala-Be has been delighting the taste buds of locals and visitors alike. With its products now available in several locations across Oahu, Mala-Be is on a mission to expand further, partnering with new outlets to ensure these distinctive flavors can be enjoyed throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
